Five Ways to Increase Traffic to your Blog
Do you have a blog? If so, you are probably interested in increasing your traffic as quickly as possible. Not only does more traffic mean that your words go further, but it also helps as far as monetization is concerned.
Even though increasing traffic to your blog may sound impossible, you can follow in the footsteps of many others if you know what you are doing. No matter if you are a new or advanced blogger, the five tips below will help you to increase traffic to your blog.
1. Keep your posts related to the topic of your blog. Although straying away from your main topic from time to time is fine, you want to make sure that you do not do this too often.
2. Just like this one, blog posts that are lists are always popular. The reason for this is simple: they are easy for readers to get through and understand. I have always loved reading blog post lists, and in turn, have begun to write more of them myself.
3. Never stop marketing. Even when you reach your traffic goals, if you continue marketing you can achieve even more success. There are hundreds of ways that you can market your blog. This includes ideas such as leaving comments on similar blogs, guest blogging, Google AdWords, and much more.
4. Anytime that you receive an email from an interested reader, make sure you reply within a timely manner. If somebody thinks enough of you to send an email, you should do your best to help them out. Sure, this can be difficult, but if you want to grow your blog, this is something that needs to be done; even if you have to make time for it.
5. Do not give up if your traffic does not increase right away! This is the biggest mistake that new bloggers make, and one that is common across the board. In most cases you will have to work on traffic building for several months before you can see a positive effect. While there are exceptions to this, do not expect to be one of them.
These are five of the best ways to increase traffic to your blog. If you stick to these tips, you will be pleasantly surprised each time that you check your traffic stats!

Yes, I find if I skip even for a day or two on my marketing techniques, my blog’s traffic suffers. Part of it is that my blog still hasn’t really gotten “established” yet, and part of it may be that I’m heavily focusing on just a few marketing techniques. But I agree that consistent marketing is one of the keys to traffic.
