Do you Visit freelancewriting.com?
One site that I visit at least once per day is freelancewriting.com. Not only does the site offer useful tips, but there is also a “jobs†section that is updated on a regular basis. Although I enjoy this site, I feel that it could offer more in particular areas. For instance, the navigation is not the best and there is a lack of quality content from established freelance writers.
The reason I bring this up is that I am thinking of starting a new freelance writing site, and I want to base it on some of the basics of freelancewriting.com. There are a lot of freelance writing resources out there, but it seems as if freelancewriting.com is the largest in terms of information. With the right guidance I feel there is enough room for another major player in this niche.
What do you guys and gals think? Do you visit freelancewriting.com on a regular basis? If so, what do you like and what would you like to see more of?
All in all, my goal is to create a site that is a one-stop shop for everything freelance writing/work at home related. Any suggestions, ideas, or input of any kind would be greatly appreciated. You can either leave a comment or send me an email. Either way, I would love to hear what you think.

I used to visit FWJ multiple times each day, but have moved on to every few days. I feel that a lot of the posts there recently haven’t been of interest to me. I don’t feel that they are not high in quality; they are just not that interesting to me personally. I wish there was more information about commercial copywriting and technical writing. Some of the commenters seem to be experienced in these areas. Maybe a series of guest posts could add some information on those topics to the site.

The only site I visit about 4 times per day related to freelance writing is yours. You have quality content and have this “thing” about your writing that makes readers trust you.
I don’t like freelancewriting.com because it looks like a portal website, and like you said it lacks information from successful freelance writers.
I want to hear about the struggles that it took freelance writers to get to where they are today and exactly how they did it. I always find it interesting to hear a rags to riches story, especially when it is related to my career. Another great feature I think readers would enjoy would be online writing sites that pay, such as associated content or textbroker. I am always on the lookout for a new money maker and I am sure that every other freelance writer heading over to your site will be too.
I have tons more ideas and would love to help you out so if you have any further questions or want a different perspective on one of your ideas for the site email me at Chani.espinal@gmail.com

Oh cripes, I read the link wrong. Well, now that I know you are talking about freelancewriting.com – I have never even visited the site, so I’d be sure to visit a site of yours if you started one.

I visit FreelanceWriting.com whenever I’m trying to do a little research. The site is cluttered. Contributors seem redundant, and I often question their credibility. I think the key to a good site is focus. When a site tries to be a catch all for EVERYTHING in writing, the result is watered down and overwhelming. In particular, I dislike databases that were probably good when they started, but have not been kept up. I do like listings that are clearly dated. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!
