ChrisBlogging.com is One Year Old
Blogging May 10th, 2008One year ago I started ChrisBlogging.com not knowing if anybody would ever read what I have to say. Although this blog has not grown nearly as fast as many others in this niche, I am glad that I have been able to help so many aspiring freelance writers up to this point.
In order to make this upcoming year as good as the past 12 months, I wanted to ask for some input from my readers. More specifically: what topics do you want me to cover the most? Is there anything that you want to know that I have been missing? It can often times be difficult to generate ideas that appeal to the majority of readers. For this, I am hoping for some help from you guys and gals!
Once again, thank you for making the first year of ChrisBlogging.com so memorable. As 2008 wears on and 2009 comes into play, I hope that all of you continue to read and comment on a regular basis. And of course, it is my hopes that everybody reaches all of their freelance writing goals.

I think you’ve been doing great with the topics. They’ve helped me out immensely. Maybe you could talk more on how to get client from those freelance bidding websites. I stink with those things.

Happy blog anniversary, Chris.
Your blog has been very helpful, and of course, people like me visit daily once they stumble upon it.
I would like you to cover a few other things once in a while: qualifications, craft lessons based on different kinds of projects, growth in this career.

Congratulations on your first successful year in blogging, Chris, as well as your continuing freelance success.

Hey Chris,
Congrats! Your first year in blogging has been quite a journey, I can see. You have been an inspiration for most of us here and I would love to see more of your articles coming out. It’s been like 3 years since I have read any magazine now, thanks to blogs like these and more…

Well, Chris, it’s not a surprise to see you going strong after a year. I think your secret is your accessibility and your genuineness. The virtual marketplace is full of claims of expertise and performance, but you just chug along with your honest voice and answer your critics (of whch there seem to be very few)with a monthly take of 5K. You walk the walk–way to go!
Since this is a service blog, you might get a little more detailed when you discuss what it actually takes to enjoy that 5K (and larger) payday. I take it for granted that you are writing quite a bit to achieve that goal, and during your Get a Freelancer period were churning out material almost nonstop.
I think it’s important that readers understand the effort that goes into numbers like that, and what a “project” entails, without, of course, specific clients being mentioned.
I’d also be interested on your current opinion of Helium and Associated Content, the latter of which I’ve contributed to but seems to be getting very stingy.
Congratulations again. Keep inspiring us with your success.
