Affiliate programs are a indeed a great way to make money and can be very easy once you pick the right one. The only thing I’ll say is to try and promote an affiliate program that you have used as your readers will be more inclined to buy it if they know that you have used it and had success with it. It might even be worth writing a review about it on your blog with you affiliate link included in the post, or sending an email to people on your mailing list with a review on the product.

Mike - I totally agree. If you can promote something that you have knowledge of, and have even used, you stand a much better chance of success. And of course, the more readers you have the better!

Good coverage there on promoting only things you like and use. Lends itself well to making videos and describing the benefits as “what’s in it for me” from their POV.
