100 RSS Readers

I just wanted to send a quick thanks to all of my RSS readers. Today is the first time that I broke the 100 subscriber mark! Although this is a long way from where I want to be, it is one of the many goals that I set for myself upon starting this blog.

To tell you the truth, I don’t have any secrets on how to increase this number, etc. Unlike some of the big “make money online” bloggers, this number is not a measure of success for me. Generally speaking, my main goal is to provide high quality, useful information, and then let readers decide if they want to add me to their reader; some do, some don’t.

Many have told me that reaching 100 subscribers is the most difficult. Hopefully 200 will be right around the corner.

Thanks again, and if you have yet to subscribe, you can do so here!

congrats! that’s a pretty huge accomplishment. you should consider putting a feedburner link that shows the number of subscribers you have.

since you have a basic layout right now, i think that would help to bring a sense of trust and credibility to your blog (for first time readers who don’t know how great the content really is).

Congratulations, Chris! I haven’t added ANY RSS feeds, only because I fear I would get bogged down and I like visiting my favourite blogs at my leisure; I tend to get stressed when I see a big plate of things to read sitting in front of me.

One of the reasons I like visiting your blog daily is because you actually update daily! Keep up the hard work!

Advice - Thanks! I had been meaning to add the subscriber count, and you finally reminded me at the right time; done!

Amanda - Thanks as well. I know what you are saying. Having so many posts to choose from can definitely take up some time.

Additionally, if anybody knows how to move the RSS count next to the chicklet, instead of below it, let me know. This is one of those technical things that I struggle with!

Great news, Chris. I saw my subscribers top 100 a few weeks ago and they have nearly doubled since. I think part of the reason is increased visibility through guest posting.

Congrats from one freelance writer to another. I remember it was a pretty big deal for me when my blog reached 100 subscribers. I’m getting close to 200, but I’ve been hovering around the 170 mark for a couple of months. I wonder what it’ll take to push me over the edge.

Congrats! That’s a great accomplishment. Your blog provides a lot of value, so I have no doubt you’ll be doubling that number soon.

  7. chrisblogging Says:

Thanks to everyone; it definitely feels good to reach this mark.

Michael - I’m sure you’ll break 200 soon enough! You are definitely closing in on it…

  8. Deborah Dera Says:

Congrats! I just topped 12 subscribers! LOL. I’m much newer than you are, though…still, it felt good. Good luck getting to $200!
